Greetings to you, friend of Alive To Serve.
By the grace of God we have been able to serve 223 girls or Kararacha primary school with reusable sanitary towels and pants. Some girls had been sent home for school fees and this is why we had to leave behind whatever remained in our consignment.
I was accompanied by pastor Lydia Ng’ang’a, not my Lydia/wife. She spent good time talking with the girls about their need for God in their academic journey and in their entire life.
The school principal, Mr Omar, a Muslim, said that they have never received such a donation and was very surprised that we could travel all the way from Tana River just to come and rescue her girls.
These are girls who are faced with untold challenges during their periods. Some have to abscond classes for that period. Others have to sell their bodies in order to receive money to buy sanitary towels. Thus teenage pregnancies, early marriages, dropping out of school, are just but a few outcomes of such lack.
Your partnership is of great impact in this society.
We are Alive To Serve.
Shalom.
